Today we had great fun thanks to the generous support of the managers and staff at Toys’R’Us, Kingston Retail Park, Hull, who allowed me to spend most of the day in store collecting for Kidscape, and being photographed quite a lot! Fortunately I only made six children cry, with most of them loving the experience! Seeing their mouths drop open as they spotted me, and nervously creeping up to drop some money in the bucket while keeping a beady eye on me was hilarious.

I’d like to say a huge and very sincere thank you to all of the staff at Toys’R’Us Hull, they were tremendous, and really made me feel welcome, and put a great deal of effort into supporting the event. I am certain that a great many children had a brilliant time, and so did quite a few adults who came in for a photo opportunity too!

During the day today we managed to raise a whopping £108.95, which is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who generously donated.

I should also point out that, although I did try very hard, I actually smiled in every single photo taken that day! It was just so much fun!
